Frequently Asked Questions

• Do I have to undress for all treatments?        Seated Upper Body Massage, Reiki and Ancient Indian Healing are clothed treatments - otherwise I will ask you to undress to your underpants, if you are comfortable to do so, and will leave to you undress and dress in privacy. During the massage you will be covered with towels, apart from the area being massaged.

• Do you offer a mobile service?  I am willing to offer a mobile service i.e. home visit by prior arrangement - so give me a call to discuss your needs - I will make a small additional charge for home  visits.

• Is there any discount for paying with cash or pre-booked massages? There is no discount for paying with cash, but if you book regular monthly treatments the price is reduced from £37.50 to £35.00.

• Do you offer anything over and above therapeutic massage e.g. erotic massage? Under no circumstances.

• If I don't like anything, can I say?  Absolutely - during first treatments I will quite frequently ask for feedback and check out with you that you are warm and comfortable and that the pressure is OK.

• Is everything I tell you in confidence? Yes, unless you told me that you were harming another person e.g. abusing a child - in that case I would reserve the right to make a referral the the appropriate bodies after discussing it with you and with your knowledge.

• Are you insured?   Yes, I have both Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurances which protects both of us.

• Are you fully qualified and accredited?       Yes, I  am a fully qualified and accredited Holistic Massage Therapist, Aromatherapist and Reiki Healer

• Do you undertake Continuing Professional Development training?  Yes, I am required to complete 25 hours a year by the Complementary Therapists Association, but always exceed this as I love learning about new ways to improve the quality of my massage practice.

• Do you attend regular supervision?  Yes, I am in a monthly supervision group with Andy Fagg, head of the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork, where we discuss our work but never mention the names of our clients. It helps me to develop and practice new skills, and offers me support for my work and the running of my business. It's a supportive way to keep on track.
